1. When do they test the early warning system sirens?

The early warning alarm system sirens are tested on the second Tuesday of the month at about 12:00 noon. If inclement weather is present a silent test will be performed.

2. What is the curfew in Chandler?

The City of Chandler does not have a curfew.

3. Do I need to register my burglar alarm with the City?

No. Currently, alarm systems do not need to be registered through the Chandler Police Department.

4. Is it legal to discharge a firearm (shoot a gun) in the City?

Sec. 8.01.002 of the City Code of Ordinance makes it unlawful for any person to discharge(shoot) any gun, pistol or firearm of any kind in the City. An exception to this restriction is on a contiguous tract of undeveloped land larger than 20 acres and not within 100 yards of any property line as long as the gun is not pointed in the direction of any building, dwelling, road park or populated area.
