City Council
We as councilmembers are the city's legislators. Policymaking is our primary duty, which includes identifying the needs of local residents, formulating programs to meet the changing requirements of the community, and measuring the effectiveness of ongoing municipal services. Marshall Crawford, Jr.
Mr. Crawford grew up in Moore Station and moved to Chandler in 1976. He and his wife Gail have been married 36 years and have 4 children and 4 grandchildren. He graduated from Brownsboro High School in 1967 where he played on their state championship basket ball team. He retired from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in 2007 after 35 years of service. Mr. Crawford has been on the city council since 1999.
Don Daniell
Mr. Daniell moved to Chandler from Houston in 1970. He was married to the late Barbara Trahan for 54 years. They have 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Mr. Daniell retired as a welding contractor in 2006. He has served on the city council since 2008.
Gene Giger
Mr. Giger moved to Chandler from Houston in 1999 after he retired from the Union Pacific Railroad with 39 years of service. He has been married to his wife Helen for 49 years and has 3 children and 6 grandchildren. He and his wife are members of the First United Methodist Church in Chandler. He has served on the city council since 2006. He also serves on the Economic Development Board of Directors.
Ann Hall
Mrs. Hall was born and raised in Waco. After graduating from Richfield High School, she attended McLennan Community College and then Texas A&M University where she earned her Bachelor Degree in Environmental Design. Ann and her husband Mark, also an Aggie, moved their family from Tyler to Chandler in 1995 to be closer to family, and because they desired to raise their 3 children in a smaller, safer, family-friendly community. Upon their arrival in Chandler, Ann got involved in local real estate and Mark opened his law office. Ann is now a Senior Sales Associate with Coldwell Banker United in Tyler, and Mark now serves as Henderson County’s First Assistant District Attorney in Athens.
Ann first got involved in City government when she was elected to the City Council in 2000, and currently serves as Mayor Pro Tem. She also serves on the Chandler Economic Development Board of Directors. Ann is a supporter of Keep Chandler Beautiful, and a member and past President of the Chandler Brownsboro Area Chamber of Commerce. In 2003 she was presented with the Chamber’s Citizen of the Year award.
The Halls are members of the Green Acres Baptist Church. They stay busy with family activities and volunteer their time with Welcome Home Soldiers and the Rainbow Room. Ann is currently in her 3rd term as President of Henderson County Community Partners which runs the Rainbow Room, an emergency center that provides clothes, diapers, school supplies and personal hygiene items to abused and neglected children served by Child Protective Services.
Barbara Reeves
Mrs. Reeves has lived in Chandler for over thirty years. She graduated from John Tyler High School and the Kilgore Police Academy. She is a former reserve officer and EMT. She also attended Tyler Junior College and RTDC for continuing education classes.
Barbara has been married to her husband Ron for over 30 years. They have 3 children and 3 grand children. She and her husband are members of Chandler First Assembly of God Church where she is the nursery director, and she and her husband are very active in the Adult Youth Leadership and Revolution group. Barbara’s hobbies are fishing, camping, reading and spending time with her family.
