Stanley McCurley has served Chandler as Utilities Superintendent since 1987. Mr. McCurley started working with the water department in 1963 when our first well was drilled on Cherry St. At that time the water department was known as Henderson County Municipal Water Authority. In 1989 a request was placed in legislation and passed in 1990 to change over to one entity known as City of Chandler Water Authority.
In 1995 we were awarded a Superior Water rating by TNRCC now known as TCEQ. The City of Chandler Water Authority currently has four active wells and will soon be drilling a fifth. Chandler has a state of the art sewer system and provides services to roughly 1200 businesses and residents.
