Recycling
Overview
The Recycle Center currently accepts all types of plastic bottles, newspapers, cardboard, magazines, and metal. They do not accept glass at this time.

Monthly Hours of Operation
  • First Wednesday of the Month: 7:00 am - 10:00 am
  • Second and Fourth Saturday of the Month: 9:00 am - 12:00 noon

Dropping Off Items
The Recycle Center is located on Main Street just behind the Food Pantry and next to Wade's Restaurant and the Feed Store. At the time of drop-off, items will be examined by Keep Chandler Beautiful members who will extract any garbage or unacceptable items.

The Recycle Center is operated by volunteers from Keep Chandler Beautiful who will assist you in unloading your recyclables and place them in the proper bin. Once the bins are full, Sanitation Solutions, Chandler’s refuse pick-up service, carries them to a company that specializes in recycling paper and plastic products. To volunteer as a center helper, call City Hall at (903) 849-6853.

Acceptable Items
  • All numbered plastic containers
  • Cardboard, newspaper, and office paper
  • Metal goods such as aluminum and tin cans, old bicycles, lawn mowers, and even refrigerators as long as there is no freon in them

Unacceptable Items
  • Garbage

  • Unwashed cans and plastics
