Parks & Facilities
Overview
There are currently three parks in Chandler.
McCain Park
McCain Park is located at the western entrance to Chandler on Highway 31. Built in 2005 with proceeds from an award won by Keep Chandler Beautiful, McCain Park is beautifully landscaped and contains:
- Lighted concrete walking paths and benches
- Flag pole
- Gazebo
- Paved parking lot
Future plans for the park calls for the Chandler Historical Society to move a historical home in Chandler to the park and operate it as a museum.
River Park
River Park is located at the eastern entrance to Chandler on Highway 31 at the Neches River. Located on the banks of the Neches River, the park provides:
- A boat ramp for fishermen
- A nature walk
- Picnic areas
- Parking lot
Winchester Park
Winchester Park is located ¾ miles south of Hwy 31 on Highway 315. Built in the early 1990s and located on approximately 23 acres, Winchester Park is home to the Brownsboro, Murchison, and Chandler (BMC) baseball and softball leagues consisting of over 700 youth. Currently there are:
- A concrete lighted walking trail around the park with exercise stops
- Paved parking
- Concession stands and restrooms
- Four lighted baseball and softball fields

- Pavilion
- Picnic areas

Approximately 27 additional acres adjacent to the park was purchased by the City of Chandler for future city and park use.
