Chandler Museum & Visitors Center - Located at 721 Hwy 31 East in McCain Park, the beautifully restored former home of Senator Ralph Yarborough serves as a museum with historical Chandler memorabilia and visitors center.

Lake Palestine - Located just south of Chandler, this 18 mile long lake offers outstanding recreation and outdoor activities for everyone including fishing, boating, water skiing, camping, RVing, and canoeing.

Winchester Park - Located on Hwy 315 South, this beautiful park offers five baseball fields, a fishing pond, horseshoe courts, pavilion, walking trails, picnic areas and more. Winchester Park Photo Gallery

McCain Park
McCain Park is located at the western entrance to Chandler on Highway 31. It was built in 2005 with proceeds from an award won by Keep Chandler Beautiful. McCain Park is beautifully landscaped and is home to the Chandler Museum. McCain Park Photo Gallery

River Park - River Park is located at the eastern entrance to Chandler on Highway 31 at the Neches River. Famous for white bass fishing in the spring, River Park provides a boat ramp for fishermen, a nature walk and picnic areas. See A History of the Neches River. River Park Photo Gallery

Winchester Fishing Pond - The recently completed 2 acre fishing pond is catch and release only since it was just recently stocked with channel catfish fingerlings. Come enjoy the fishing! Winchester Fishing Pond Photo Gallery

Winchester Park Horseshoe Courts
This court is a tournament level complex. There are nine horseshoe lanes in this lighted, fenced court. At this time, three annual horseshoe tournaments are held at Winchester Park. They include the "Chandler Challenge", the "Chandler Classic", and the "Heart of Chandler" horseshoe tournaments. Horseshoe enthusiasts of all ages are encouraged to use this facility. Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center
The Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center combines visitation and outdoor education with a production fish hatchery. Its mission is to provide an education, entertaining visitor experience that promotes freshwater sport fishing and the enhancement, conservation and stewardship of aquatic resources in Texas.

Chandler Pow Wow
This annual fall festival is held on the second Saturday of October at Winchester Park. This event is sponsored by the Chandler Chamber of Commerce and includes a parade, arts & crafts vendors, delicious food, a pet costume contest, a CASI Chili Cookoff and much, much more. Pow Wow Photo Gallery

Tyler, Texas - The Rose Capital of the World
Fewer than 10 miles to the east, Tyler is America's Rose Festival. Charming brick streets lead visitors to an array of family attractions, quaint antique shops and unique specialty stores. Tyler State Park is only 30 minutes away just north of Tyler. The park offers camping, group facilities, picnicking, fishing, boating and hiking trails. The Texas State Parks Store has everything you need such as souvenirs, bait, snacks, ice, free Wi-Fi and crafted products.

Caldwell Zoo is located in nearby Tyler and offers great fun for the whole family. Exhibits at the zoo include the African Savanna, North America, South America, an African Aquarium, the North American Herpetarium and a Wild Bird Walkabout.


The Waterpark at the Villages is only 15 minutes away and features a lazy river with a whirlpool for tubers, four exciting 3-story water slides and a Forest Ranger children's playscape with a giant, 10,000 gallon bucket dump, three kid-size body slides and life-size figures of bears and moose.

Brookshire's World of Wildlife Museum & Country Store is located in nearby Tyler and offers you an adventure that includes more than 450 mammals, reptiles, fowls and aquatic species from Africa and North America at no charge. The playground and picnic area host a 1952 model La France Fire Truck, restored caboose and a 1936 McCormick Deering farm tractor.

Blue Moon Gardens is only 15 minutes away and offers the best selection of nursery plants in the East Texas area. Enjoy the beauty of nature and the love of gardening in this beautiful country setting.

Canton First Monday Trade Days - Nearby Canton offers 450 acres of shopping and good food on Thursday through Sunday before the first Monday of each month.  Also, visit Splash Kingdom Waterpark while you are there!
