1. What are my garbage collection days?

Garbage collection is on Tuesdays and Fridays. Garbage must be set out at curbside by 7:00 a.m.

2. Why did they leave my garbage, leaves or limbs behind?

All garbage must be set out to the curb by 7:00 a.m. on your collection day. If the garbage is out on time and not collected by the end of the day, please contact the Water Department at (903)849-6853. Tree, shrub and brush trimmings must be tied together forming an easily handled package not exceeding 4 feet in length, 6 inches in diameter, or 50 lbs in weight. Total amount of "bundled" materials set out for collection per each home shall not exceed 2 cubic yards(6 ft x 3 ft x 3 ft). 

The City of Chandler also provides a free curbside limb pickup service on the first Monday of each month. You must call City Hall at (903)849-6853 to get on the pickup list. Limbs must be piled up at the curb or they will not be picked up. Limbs may not be larger than 6 inches in diameter. 

3. Does the City credit bills if our garbage isn't picked up?

No. The Solid Waste Fee is not based on frequency of collection. If the trash is set out by 7:00 a.m. and is missed, the resident may call in to (903)849-4145 and report the missed garbage.

4. What are the garbage collection holidays?

Garbage collection holidays are as follows: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Trash collection services will not be provided on these holidays. Sanitation Solutions will provide make-up collection for residential routes the next business day following the holiday.

5. How do I begin receiving garbage collection services?

6. Where is the nearest landfill?

The Henderson County Precinct 3 Solid Waste Station is located on FM 314, just south of Brownsboro. They are open on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Call (903)852-6220 for more information.

7. What company provides garbage collection service in Chandler?

8. Where can I recycle in Chandler?

The City of Chandler does not provide curbside recycling service; however, there are unmanned recycle bins located behind the Maintenance Shop of Winchester Park. You can reach the recycle bins from the Martin St entrance of Winchester Park. At this time, only paper and plastic are being accepted.

9. Will bulky items be picked up?

Yes. Acceptable items include air conditioners and refrigerators which have the CFC's removed by a certified technician, water tanks, washing machines, furniture, mattresses, bundled tree, shrub and brush trimmings. Items not acceptable include construction debris, paint, dead animals and hazardous waste. You should notify Sanitation Solutions at (888)264-6911 when you have extra large items to make sure they have space available on the trash trucks.
